Q. TATIANA - YOU MUST BE RUSSIAN?

A. No, not Russian. My background is actually Greek. My parents migrated to Australia in the 1960’s, neither is Russian. Yes I am sure. They just liked the name. My friends call me ‘Tats’.

FACT: I do a pretty good Russian accent, or so I have been told and I am quite fond of Vodka.

Q. WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS ON MY WEDDING DAY?

A. Lots of people will tell you it is lucky. They say that so you don't get upset.

I will pull out some lovely umbrellas and we will take beautiful photos in the rain. You will stay dry, I will probably get wet. My hair will frizz but I don’t care. You can laugh at me and I’ll photograph you laughing!

FACT: If you buy pretty umbrellas it probably won’t rain.

Q. BRIDEZILLAS: FACT OR FICTION?

A. Luckily for me when I first meet my clients they are still high on the buzz of being recently engaged. Our next meeting is just before the wedding date itself and by then all the stress of planning a wedding is almost over. It is possible brides (and grooms) have had the odd "bridezilla" moment during the planning stages. I know I had my fair share when I organised my own wedding... By the time the wedding day rolls around everything is rainbows and butterflies!

FACT: I have photographed zero bridezillas!

Q. HOW LONG UNTIL I GET MY FINISHED PHOTOS?

A. A link of photos of your family and guests will be ready within 2-3 days of your wedding. Then the finished wedding photos of the rest of the day will be ready within four weeks of your wedding date. If included, you’ll also have a link to review your wedding album. Once you have approved the album it takes about four weeks to produce. You’ll still be high on your post wedding buzz and excited to see the photos.

FACT: It sometimes takes up to ten hours for me to pick out the best photos, that is longer than most wedding days!

Q. HOW MANY PHOTOS DO YOU TAKE?

A. Depending on the length of time you have booked me for, anywhere between 1,000 and infinity... But probably not more than 4,000. There will be multiples of lots of images, I do this to ensure I have got the shot without blinks or unusual facial expressions. You get a copy of every single photo I take!

FACT: I have a very muscly trigger finger.

Q. WHAT IS IN THE PACKAGE?

A. I pride my package on being ‘all inclusive’, when you pick up your photos there is nothing more to pay and certainly no hidden extras. You will receive digital files of all the finished, ‘retouched’ photos plus the originals. I can also create a beautifully designed coffee table book style album or leather bound traditional album. One that you will enjoy showing to your family and friends, your children and grandchildren.

All of your retouched photos will also be uploaded onto my website with a personal link. Use this to show everyone at work or email the link to friends.

FACT: The package is flexible. Want something added or removed, that is ok with me.

Q. DO YOU EDIT ALL OF THE PHOTOS?

A. Yes. All of your finished photos will be individually and carefully retouched by me. The minimum you will receive is 100, and depending on the length of your wedding sometimes over 200. There are no ‘bulk edits’, which basically means each image is given special attention to look complete and perfect. I do not over edit an image, I always want it to look real but will ensure that if some random dude walked into the background of what would be a perfect shot, he will be removed. If a skin blemish should appear then it will be magically whisked away!

FACT: I have ‘photoshopped’ more people out of images from Carlton Gardens than any other location. Seriously, people, get out of my background! Sheesh…

Q. HOW SHOULD I POSE IN MY PHOTOS WHEN IN HATE POSING?

A. Don’t

FACT: Even in this ‘selfie’ obsessed day and age most people say they hate posing in photos. Great! I hate people posing in photos too. For some parts of the day you shouldn’t notice I am there, but when we are out shooting location/portrait photos I will direct you so you have some idea of what to do. I’ll even stop and show you the images as we go so you get an idea of how good everything looks. If you’ve spent some time looking through my galleries you’ll see that my images do not look staged or posed. But they are thought out and I have placed people in the right spots to capture the look I am after. That doesn’t happen by chance. The way you interact, the laughs and giggles, kisses and affection? That is up to you!
